Outta here!

Yes, I must sadly admit that it has taken me forever to blog again since the last posting of which was over a week ago...i think. too long, i know. no excuse, i know. no school, i know. trip driving me up the wall, i think the entire world knows.
ok time for a random tidbit into my shady life. last friday night (as in 9 days ago) i was walking with matthew and before i even got like 30 yards from my house i pass this girl and i take this double take on her...and i can tell she looks familiar but i can't tell from where, and she's giving me this same odd look. then it hits me that she was in my econ class just a day before, so we schmoozed like good classmates, hehehe, i wanna say i'm a little freaked now that she knows my house, or at least my neighborhood cuz man i hope she didnt realize that was my house, but heck wtrv she was almost normal, at least for a human of African descent [dang Elan stop with the racism] it's not racism i tell u, i was in fact decently impressed, she even was like "o i see it must be your sabbath" as if normal people walk around in a suit at 10 on a friday night. good call yo.
Fast forward to this pas Friday aaaaaaaaaaaand it was my last day at the great Community Transportation Development Center. yup, no more "good morning/afternoon Transport center"outta me anymore. o well u all missed out hearing my beautiful pick up lines. but of the course the best part of the day was my mom/fellow colleague asked me to pick up schwarmas for everyone at the office on the company credit card in honor of my last day. that was awesome. if u didn't know the office loves max's and schwarmas in particular, wut can i say , my office has good taste. too bad il be missing the ice cream cake party from baskin robbins theyre having on monday. but ill be much happier staying in the beatiful Berkshire resort of the Pittsfield Motor Lodge where windows are an amenity and AC is optional and the prices on the website are about $100 cheaper that reality. i was falling off my chair when i was reading through their website, so let's just hope we're not falling through the matresses when tommorow night rolls around.
so today i went to a shloshim ceremony of Mrs. Joyce Shankman A"H...nice, inspirational stuff. it was a surprise to see former redskin/crackhead Dexter Manley there, but actaully it wasn't but i have no patience to explain the connection, so if you're lost open ur mouth (or palms) and ask me. soon i'm going to noam's brother, mordechai's wedding which is gonna be awesome. i know her family is awesome becuz their sfardi, ok i'm a bit biased. and noam's fam, well it just goes without saying...
so as this goes to print the entire trip is planned except for a motel near Boston which i truly look forward to bugging noam about the entire 7 hours up to hartford so he's gonna haev to reserve that becuz i've just done too much credit card garbage over the fone to soem really shady places the last few weeks. on that note, jacob will hopefully get over his credit card loss/getting consumer fraud wtvr it's called but i guess it just capped off an exciting week for everyone, didn't it?? ok wow i better shut up while i'm behind here.
cranium--although i never met you, i miss you already, but i understand you're in good hands, maybe we'll try and get together another time..wa wa
know what's good now?? now i really have an excuse not to blog for a week! shavuah tov y'all.

Fishing, Beer and Fishing Beer

Ah, yes, that is right. it seems that whenever we go out on an outing (?) alchoholic beverages cannot be left behind, G-d forbid. so fishing was fun yesterday. no, let me rephrase that... sitting in a boat in beautiful 80 degree sunny weather was fun. yes the point of the trip was too fish but I did'nt come equipped with the correct equipment, as if my body was'nt enough, so could'nt really fish. In fact the only fishing i did was of a beer can out of the water. it seems our friends in the other boat, after or in the midst of their 4 beers a person, were too drunk to throw it into our boat. oh well we got it anyway. but don't ask how long it took cuz it took me a very long time to get the swing of our canoe and how the thing moves and what not. it must have taken us a good 5 minutes to get moving just to begin with after rowing around in circles. But anyway the lake was pretty chilled and relaxing so no complaints there. In fact it was pretty sweet that even though we were on the water for 2.5 hrs we were only charged for on hour, how that happened I never really understood. Then we tried to barbeque at the park but that didn't really work. the grill was dead, propane or something, so we had to go back to a friend's house and deal with it there. I want to say the end of the meal was ruined with mike lowell snagging Melvin Mora's shot down the third base line, but unfortuantely, the orioles are 1-11 against the red sox this season so a loss was kind of expected. but i gotta give them credit, they definately played hard and as usual they have a tendency to play up or down to the competition. (eg. they'll lose 11-9 to the sox and 4-1 to the royals) While i'm talking sports, this Clinton Portis news is not good at all. Hopefully he'll be back by the season opener in a few weeks or else every game this season will similar to last night's drubbing by the Bengal's in which they beat the Skins 19-3.
Anyway this is my last week at work which is pretty good. I am looking forward to finishing but much "more forward(?!) to next week's roadtrip. I can't say I'm dying to leave the office but i'm defiantely ready for a well deserved vacation. especailly since it is well known what comes after that vacation.
So the results from the mountain dew slurpee are in. Exerpt from his report card: ..."When Mountain entered my class a few months ago he had alot of potential. Unfortuantely, it seems to me, he got much too bogged down on worrying about his fellow peers, the other slurpees. In the process he did not have the energy to work on bettering himself academically as well as tastily. Therefore I look forward to him focusing on himself a little more and not get overwhelmed by the success of his buddies and therefore utilize himself to his full potential in the near future. I will be checking up on him on a regular basis and will try and give constructive feedback. o and of course he's a pleasure to have in class, as long as he doesn't make too big of a mess during art, i mean slurpee days." It seems this evaluation was done on one of Mountain's bad days so we'll see if he can do better.
ok i'm really getting bored at work. i can't work on the database today like i ussually do. there's a whole bunch of traveling coming up for much of the office so i'm supposed to work on that, but it doesnt take 2 hrs to orbtiz a couple flights. so i'm bored even tho it took me 2 hrs to do this post. yes, that means i was doing some work in the middle. i thought i had something else to say, but since i can't remember maybe i'll remember it later. basically i won't b/c i don't blog often enough to remember things for 3 days straight. recommendations on that past point will not be granted attention.
have a fun day peepulz

Over!

Back and better than ever after too long without a real posting I have new-found energy. Econ class is finnaly done. That was by far the fastest class in my life. 5 weeks, twice a week for like 3 hrs, that's NOTHING! But then again i don't recommend takin econ in the summer it really is too much stuff for so little time...that advice may change and hopefully so after I b'ezrat Hashem a B in the class. Well at least the prof was good so no complaints about him. and course the class had the usual diversity of most MC classes; the cheating 40 yr old russian diplomat (who didnt cheat on the final!-dang i hope he failed); the 55 yr old indian/black/hispanic(take ur pick) woman next to me who wasn't so easy to cheat off of (how sad); the funny army hispanic guy who works at walter reed as a psychiatrist , salute out to the good man; the girl from some random country in south america who is the only person I think in the world to drop out of UMD and start MC; the other girl who is the typical umd girl, dumb blonde and all, i'll stop there...; the other funny spanish guy, i forget what his deal was but i know we complained about last test together, good times. ok i need something else to talk about cuz just like you i'm falling asleep writing about this.
Ok so as you may know we have a roadtrip coming up in about 10 days, it's getting more complicated/crazy/confusing/frustrating/fun(?) every day. I don't get how last year we planned an ENTIRE trip to Chicago via Potato Creek(shout out to that awesome place), Cleveland and Motown in one night! But this year we try and go only to New England/NY and everything is just absolutely crazy. Well I can't say it's not for interesting this way, but still there is a limit-"why can't we all just get along!?"-prize for whoever tells me who said that cuz i got no clue but i'll probly belive u ne way. the question is, to keep things VERY simple should this trip become the HOF trip as in hall of fame trip. already we have the basball hall of fame scheduled along with the basketball (break ur wallet $17 addmission fee) on tap but in Oneonta, where tuesday night's entertainment is (minor league bball!-Double header even!) they have the soccor hall of fame. Now make fun of me or not i dont care(that much) the world cup was awesome, i got pretty into it. like way more than the NBA playoffs even. now before you deport me to Europe for saying that, namely France to get headbutted by Zinedine Zidane the best name for a French terrorist i mean French/[insert north african country] national or even see my family which lives in Paris which i'll blog abt another time if ur so dying to hear about my adventures in the most anti-Jew/Israel country in Europe with still the most Jews on the continent--I have to tell you the Cup was faaaaaaaaaar more interesting and fun than the NBA playoffs. well becuz it was something different, true, but it was very cool. and i could'nt complain cuz i got to watch the games live on ESPN360 through my computer at/during work which is good because a)[take a deep breath-] i don't have a TV in my house (breathing??) and b) i don't have the "cool" internet connection for ESPN360. but the best part about the cup now that i think about it was the Washington Post reporter's blog about it. you remember all those funny stories they wrote about on the side of the cup coverage pages, that stuff was awesome. like when these dudes in Germany put like iron soccer balls in the trees and when people tried to get them down they got hurt (srry for screwing that story up)-that won't happen anywhere but the Cup. And there are countless other stories but i think i'll get shot if i even think about bringing up the soccer HOF as an activity, but i think we may already be booked for that day.
anyways in other news, woodside specific, there is a new "bullseye" i mean sign outside the shul showing "our support for israel in this time of crisis for her safety and security"(qt. not exact). well i could rant about that sign for a long time, but this is not english 101 and although i could problay write in 2 hrs 2 papers why the sign is good and why the sign is bad...I'll let Jacob do the honors of that. that is only one side of the story...hhmm i wonder which he will pick...
NEWS ALERT- MT DEW SLURPEES HAVE BEEN SPOTTED. LOCATION-FENTON ST/GREYHOUND 7-11. Details and taste test results to follow. Stay Tuned

Moozeeka!

O wow finnaly, after staring at the clock above my head for 4 hrs straight, at 1:15pm, I was finnaly able to turn on some music for the first time in 3 weeks. It felt so awesome and joyous which I guess(ok i know) is the reason why we could'nt have listened to it the past few weeks. So, sorry WMAL and all your awesome pro-Israel people, namely, chris core, rush, hannity and of course the crazy yid maaak(mark) levin. You guys sure made my days bearable, entertaining and between u and me that explains why i had the sudden urge on numerous occasions to actually LOL (that is laugh out loud for those not familair with what they type every 30 seconds on IM).
True, this is lamely short but I really need a haircut, its been way too long don't even start guessing cuz i'm not about to start thinking.
Have a great shabbos

yalla ya Nasrallah - song from Israel

"It's been awhile since I could hold my head up high....."

Why in the heck am I thinking of that song. Whether it's correct or not I'm going to blame in on Bank of America. I think I set the world record for being on hold with a company. Are u ready for this?? 95 mins AND the phone disconnects and it starts again...at least the timer thingy on the phone at work, m/b it doesnt have 3 digits, i dunno, but i couldnt even get in touch with them. so what was i trying to do? yea sketchy, shady and wtvr else u wanna refer to it as but i had to act like i was my brother, who's in camp, and set up a checking account for him. Ok, so for all 1.5 hrs plus i was on hold, yes it was a speaker phone so i was doing work at the same time, i can multitask!-they were playing some pretty awesome music. but it sucked it was the 9 days so i couldnt like "enjoy" it but it was right there and i was very impressed. but what i wasnt impressed about was literally every 20 seconds this stupid woman (recorded) came one was ruining the decent music, tho being right b4 tisha b'av it's prolbay better she kept saying " we apoligize for the delay, please hold for the next avaliable agent". anyway so yesterday i was in class and good old russian diplomat is cheating yet again, surprise surprise on our quiz/test. he just sits out in the front row with his textbook wide open and he's like taking notes or something also, i dunno it's messed up. i'm telling u he must be KGB, he drives black mercedes with diplomatic license plates...don't even think about why he's in a college course and he's like 40.
so the boston trip is looking very good, esp since we decided to hit up cooperstown after the Pitts(field). i am very worried abt this "motor lodge" thing we're staying at in pittsfield. in fact u can check out the website so i dont need to explain it all. this reminds me i have to ask for AC cuz it seems optional, we're already paying $95 which way too expensive for such a dump, but i guarentee we'll have some good stories from the place.
anyway i gotta start some work...have an easy fast everyone
May we be zoche to see the ביאת המשיח במהרה בימינו
